The RADV2018 will leave Perth from Parliament House on Friday, 25th May at 10.30am with riders, their bikes and luggage being transported to accommodation at Abbey Beach Resort in Busselton. Riders will attend a welcome afternoon tea with members of the Busselton Refuge that the ride supports, followed by an evening meal together and a rider’s briefing in preparation for the early morning departure.
Saturday 26th May sees the riders depart Busselton from the accommodation at 5.30am, arriving for breakfast with members of the Bunbury Refuge. Following breakfast, it is anticipated that riders will arrive to meet members of the Mandurah Refuge, and then check into accommodation. After an evening meal, a rider’s briefing and checking over the bikes, it’s an early night in preparation for tomorrow’s ride.
Sunday 27th May starts out with the first leg of the ride departing at 6.30am to Rockingham. There, breakfast will be enjoyed as riders meet members from the Rockingham Refuge. It’s then on to Fremantle and the reception at the Fremantle Refuge for morning tea. The final leg of the journey culminates at Perth at approximately 1.00pm, with other refuges, supporters, friends, families and a media presence all attending brief thank you speeches to demonstrate their support for the riders and their efforts on the RADV2018.
