The Ride Against Domestic Violence High Tea Fundraiser is just a week away and we are all getting very excited about being able to hand over the 5 donations to the nominated women's shelters that support women in situations of Domestic Violence.

Another wonderful donation for the Ride Against Domestic Violence High Tea Fundraiser from The Lemon Tree Book Company. Such a fabulous idea for any child, but particularly valuable for those that are experiencing difficultly with reading or need encouragement to enhance a love of reading. Many children who have been the victims of family domestic violence have benefitted from books such as these where they are the focus of the attention and get to be the superstar in the book. Such a positive way to enhance self esteem in kids who have experienced tragic life circumstances. It was an honour be involved in seeing a group of wonderful riders get over the line yesterday in the Ride Against Domestic Violence. Well done to Dr. Tony Buti MLA, Roger Cook and all other riders and supporters. The workers at refuges who provide support for victims of domestic violence are utterly inspirational, and even more so are the survivors. You are not alone.
